eMogi is a Motorized Electric Kayak With a Top Speed of 20 km/h

Kayaks are one of the best watercraft to getting out on the water and experience amazing water sports. The eMogi is a motorized electric kayak that reaches 20 km/h in top gear. However, the Czechia-based startup eMogi collaborates with the Havel Composites CZ s. r. o to invent this kayak.

The design features an eco-friendly 1 kW electric drive, a rudder, and three different control options. That is to say, the motor of the kayak can be controlled through a wireless device, steering wheel, and a push-button on the paddle. It also has three different speed levels and a reverse gear.

Once you hit the speed, simply use the pedal or the telescopic steering wheel to navigate the kayak towards your destination. Moreover, this electric kayak was powered by the replaceable 22.2 V Li-ion battery which is placed safely inside the universal waterproof box.

In case you need a backup, there is also a storage place for additional batteries. Further, the battery weighs 11.1 lb (5 kg) and takes 4–5 hrs to get fully charged, and lasts up to 7 hours. Once filled, it has a range of 62 miles (100 kilometers) when paddled at the lowest gear.

Above all, it is also features some advanced technologies. That includes a folding propeller, replaceable rudder, onboard potentiometer, adjustable seat, and a detailed display. There is a safety system that turns off the motor when the rider falls off the vessel.

Are you an intense kayaker who wants to spend as much time as possible in the water? Then you can modify the kayak by choosing the battery capacity from 600 / 1040 / 1160 / 1340 Wh. Finally, the motorized electric kayak measures 323 cm in length, 70 cm in width, and carries weight up to 130 kg. Give eMogi a try if you don’t want to paddle continually or lack upper body strength.
