Candela C-7 | A Hydrofoil Electric Boat That Flying Over The Water

Wouldn’t it be nice if you had a boat that avoids the waves and flies over the water instead of the silly voyage that bumps everywhere? Well, the Swedish company Candela has come up with the ultimate solution for people who lives on a waterfront property or love to ride in the deep blue sea. However, this hydrofoil electric boat C-7 completely raises above the water.

As a result, it reduces the drag up to 80% and hikes the driving range up to its maximum. Unlike our traditional boats that bumping and slamming on the rough water surface, the C-7 maintaining a smooth ride while providing maximum speed. Its computer-controlled foil system lets the boat fly silently.

The Candela C-7 can reach up to 22 knots cruise speed and can go up to 30 knots as a top speed. Also, it has a riding range of 50 nautical miles per single charge. The company claimed that it is three times more than our traditional patrol boats.

Moreover, to make the transportation of the boat easier, they have made the foils and propulsion unit retraceable. So the boat can fit into the trailer like other traditional boats. The C-7 doesn’t scare the underwater creatures. In other words, it neither produces emissions nor pollutes the sound. However, this electric hydrofoil boat uses Carbon fiber material which is light in weight.

When comes to tech specifications, it features a 55 kW motor and 40 kWh Lithium-Ion NMC battery to generate the power. Further, it measures 7.70 m x 2.40 m and weighs 1300 kg. You can even customize the boat by adding a sunbed, teak deck, underwater lighting, cruiser cover, and more.
