<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The CY-X4 by Rictor is a personal electric vertical takeoff and landing aircraft designed specifically for low-altitude mobility. Instead of chasing long-range urban air taxi use cases, CY-X4 focuses on short, controlled flights with an emphasis on stability, redundancy, and pilot safety. Its compact multirotor flight pod design makes it suitable for controlled environments where simplicity and reliability matter most.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Multirotor design with built-in redundancy</h2>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">CY-X4 uses a four-axis, eight-propeller configuration, giving it strong redundancy in case of a single motor or propeller issue. Each axis uses a high-thrust coaxial propulsion system that delivers around 55 to 60 kilograms of rated thrust per axis. The large 63-inch propellers fold for easier storage and transport, helping keep the overall system practical despite its aircraft-grade performance.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Nicknamed the “Flying Suitcase”, the Janus-1 can be folded to fit in a car trunk or carried on your back. Despite its size, it’s a powerful aircraft that can perform both manned and unmanned missions. From personal travel to cargo delivery and even emergency rescue operations.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Powered by a turbo-shaft engine, the Janus-1 delivers strong performance with an airspeed of 160 km/h and a service ceiling above 6,000 meters. Its rotor diameter measures 135.4 inches, while the fuselage measures 90.6 inches long, 52.7 inches high, and 44.6 inches wide.</p>
