X-Control has introduced the Janus-1, a personal tiny helicopter that redefines the meaning of portable aviation. This fully functional prototype combines innovation, performance, and practicality – all in one foldable and compact flying machine.

A Flying Suitcase That’s Ready for Anything

Nicknamed the “Flying Suitcase”, the Janus-1 can be folded to fit in a car trunk or carried on your back. Despite its size, it’s a powerful aircraft that can perform both manned and unmanned missions. From personal travel to cargo delivery and even emergency rescue operations.

Compact Yet Powerful Design

The Janus-1’s core module weighs just 70kg and occupies a mere 0.468 cubic meters of volume. With a payload capacity of 200kg and a maximum takeoff weight of 270kg.

Designed for both manned and unmanned missions.

Powered by a turbo-shaft engine, the Janus-1 delivers strong performance with an airspeed of 160 km/h and a service ceiling above 6,000 meters. Its rotor diameter measures 135.4 inches, while the fuselage measures 90.6 inches long, 52.7 inches high, and 44.6 inches wide.

Versatile and Reconfigurable

This helicopter is designed for versatile missions. Whether it’s a 1–2 person manned flight, a cargo transport operation, or a swift emergency rescue. It can even land on water for urgent rescue missions.

With a flight range between 40 minutes and 8 hours, depending on configuration, the Janus-1 offers flexibility for short commutes or extended missions. A 3×3 meter area is all it needs for takeoff, making it ideal for personal and professional use.

Advanced Autonomous System

The Janus-1 includes an autonomous driving system for intelligent flight control. It can operate manually or automatically, adjusting to weather, terrain, and mission conditions. The aircraft can resist winds of up to 46 mph, ensuring stability even in challenging environments.

Fuel and Performance

It runs on Jet A, kerosene, or diesel, making refueling convenient. With a cruising speed of 62 mph and a transport volume of 124 gallons, the Janus-1 balances endurance with efficiency.

Conclusion

The X-Control Janus-1 showcases the potential of personal aviation. Its foldable design, versatility, and autonomous capabilities make it more than just a flying machine. It’s a portable solution for modern air mobility.
