The WaterCar EV is built to work as both a land cruiser and a 19-foot boat. With the push of a button, the vehicle transitions from road use into a fully functional watercraft. Instead of towing a separate boat to the lake, the vehicle itself becomes the boat.

Built With Aluminum and Stainless Steel

The structure uses an aluminum unibody design combined with aluminum and stainless steel construction for durability. The hull is foam-filled, creating a virtually unsinkable structure designed for water use and stability.

Electric Power on Land

On land, the WaterCar EV runs using a 48-volt lithium-ion electric motor. The vehicle is intentionally governed to a top speed of 25 mph for road use. It offers a driving range of around 180 miles or 130 kilometers on electric power.

High-Speed Performance on Water

Once in the water, the vehicle operates as a boat powered by a 115 Mercury Pro XS outboard engine. On water, it can reach speeds up to 35 mph, giving it the performance of a recreational speedboat while still functioning as a road-going electric vehicle.

Compact Amphibious Design

The WaterCar EV weighs around 2,300 pounds and is designed to carry up to four people. The Coast Guard-rated capacity is 850 pounds, making it suitable for small groups and recreational outings on lakes and coastal waters.

A Different Approach to Recreation

Instead of switching between a car and a boat, the WaterCar EV combines both into one platform. It drives on land using electric propulsion and transitions into a boat when needed, offering a compact amphibious solution for travel and recreation.
