What if you could turn a compact hitch-mounted case into a spacious camping setup with bedrooms, a kitchen, and even a bathroom? MyGlamper is a wheel-less camping system designed to do exactly that. Instead of towing a traditional camper trailer, it attaches directly to a vehicle’s towbar and unfolds into a large inflatable tent.
Depending on the model, the setup can accommodate between six and 12 people, with features such as a raised master bed, indoor kitchen, lighting, electrical outlets, and an ensuite bathroom with a shower.
Even more interesting, MyGlamper claims its camping system can be fully set up in just six minutes.
A Camping Tent That Mounts to Your Towbar
Unlike conventional camper trailers, MyGlamper does not have wheels or require a separate trailer chassis. It uses a removable towbar-mounted system that attaches to the back of a vehicle.
When packed away, the system is stored inside a hard composite case. At the campsite, the case unfolds and the inflatable tent expands into a large camping space.
The setup is designed to accommodate different camping needs, from a compact weekend getaway to a larger family camping experience. MyGlamper describes the concept as a way to turn a compact hitch-mounted unit into a camping space for up to 12 people.
From Compact Case to Camping Setup in Six Minutes
One of the main features of MyGlamper is its automated inflation system. Rather than manually assembling a conventional tent with multiple poles and supports, the inflatable structure expands using a pump.
The company states that the complete setup takes approximately six minutes. The inflatable design also includes separate air valves for each room. This means the pressure in individual sections can be isolated rather than affecting the entire tent.
The pump features a pressure switch that can remain connected to help maintain inflation pressure. If a puncture occurs, the system can continue supporting inflation while the damaged section is repaired.
Each tent also comes with a puncture repair kit for emergencies. The repair process is similar to fixing a bicycle tyre, allowing users to patch small punctures when needed.
A Spacious Camping Space With Everyday Comforts
Depending on the model, MyGlamper can provide more than just sleeping space. Its larger configurations include facilities designed to make longer camping trips more comfortable.
The available features include a raised master bed, indoor kitchen, cooking area, lighting, electrical hardware, and an ensuite bathroom. The bathroom setup can include a hot recirculating shower and a composting toilet. The water system also incorporates water reticulation and filtration features in the higher configurations.
These additions are designed to bring some of the conveniences of home into an outdoor camping environment. MyGlamper comes in three versions: Lite, Plus, and Pro. Each model has a different weight, sleeping capacity, and set of features.
Three Models: Lite, Plus, and Pro
MyGlamper comes in three versions. The Lite sleeps up to six people, weighs under 70 kg, and offers compact storage for weekend trips. The Plus sleeps up to 12 people, weighs 90 kg, and includes a kitchen, ensuite bathroom with shower and composting toilet, water filtration, 100Ah battery, and solar charging.
The Pro also sleeps 12 people and weighs 110 kg. It adds a larger kitchen, full-size inflatable annex, automated setup, smart controls, advanced solar and battery integration, and an ensuite with a shower loop and filtration system.
Materials and Construction
MyGlamper uses a combination of fabric, composite materials, and metal components in its construction. The tent uses 300gsm Riptech polycotton canvas, while the storage case is made from a customisable composite material. An optional carbon-fibre case is available, with different colour options.
The hitch system uses high-quality carbon steel, while the supporting legs and brackets are made from stainless steel or aluminium.
The inflatable structure uses separate valves for individual rooms, allowing sections to be isolated if pressure needs to be managed or a repair is required. The MyGlamper range starts at approximately $18,990 AUD, which is around $13,367 USD.
