Our thinking about the future at a young age has never been without a real flying car. However, now it’s time to say goodbye to traffic jams as you piloted a flying car across congested roads. The Bratislava, Slovakia-based company Klein Vision has proven that the future has arrived on the farm of their latest dual-mode car-aircraft vehicle prototype ‘AirCar’.
Recently (on June 28th, 2021) the Klein vision’s aircar successfully completed the 35-minute trip. The trip begins at Nitra’s international airport and ends at Bratislava’s international airport. Moreover, once the convertible aircraft hits the ground the aircraft transformed into a sports car with the push of a button.
“This flight starts a new era of dual transportation vehicles. It opens a new category of transportation and returns the freedom originally attributed to cars back to the individual.” said Professor Klein
Yes, there is a flying car in real life
Surprisingly, the transformation takes only three minutes to complete. In addition, the first inter-city flight was driven by the inventor Professor Stefan Klein and co-founder Anton Zajac, respectively. Above all, their prototype-1 uses a 160-horsepower BMW engine. It also has completed more than 40 hours of test flights under the supervision of the Civil Aviation Authority.
What is important to note here is that the ‘AirCar’ flying car prototype-1 flew at an altitude of 8200 feet. Also has a top speed of 190 kilometers per hour. Likewise, their upcoming pre-production model AirCar Prototype-2 will use a 300-horsepower engine. And equipped with a variable pitch propeller.
As a result, the expected cruise speed is 300km/h and the range is 1000km. In addition, the company hopes to get EASA CS-23 aircraft certification as well as an M1 road permit to ease transportation.
