Space is a luxury for those who live in extra-tiny homes or apartments, and you may not be able to afford the space needed for your traditional dishwasher to fit next to the cabinet. This uniquely designed tiny dishwasher ‘Capsule’ effortlessly adopts your tiny lifestyle and saves some space on the countertop.
However, it was invented by an Edinburgh-based startup ‘Loch Electronics’. They spent nearly four years developing and testing the ‘Capsule.’ Moreover, it doesn’t require any plumbing work. So you can take it wherever you go and ideal for modern lifestyle options such as RV, caravan, and tiny houses.
The company claimed that this personal dishwasher can clean enough dishes for two dinners in just 15 minutes. Not only dishes but it also clean fruits and disinfect things with UV-C light. When comes to portability, the capsule is only 10kg/22lb in weight and takes up less than 25cm/9.8in on the countertop. As previously mentioned, the UV-C light has LEDs with a wavelength of 265-275nm.
So it doesn’t take much time to disinfect both hard and soft surfaces. In addition, even if it is small, it can handle large items such as frying pans, dinner plates, cutting boards, and even baking pans. Further, the simplified user interface allows anyone to easily operate the device. To get started, simply stack the dished into the device, add some detergent on the door, and fill the independent 3-liter water tank with fresh water.
Inside the tiny dishwasher, there are two twin powerful sprayers that hit the dishes with water. Once the cleaning process done, simply drain the wastewater through the 1m hose. Currently, the ‘Capsule’ is a thing on Indiegogo and already raised more than US$800,000. Do you like this device? You can get one for the pledge of $399 USD.
