iRULER – A Smart Laser Distance Measuring Device Replaces Outdoor Measure Tape

A bulky measuring tape is an inevitable tool for any construction worker, such as an architect, engineer, or even a carpenter. But what if you had everything you needed to measure in one convenient device? The iRULER M130 is a smart and portable measuring device that uses laser distance measure technology.

However, this extremely small device is surprisingly powerful enough to reach up to 98 feet and be as accurate as /13-of-an-inch wide. Not only distance, but it can also measure area, volume, and works with the Pythagorean Theorem. Moreover, there is a backlit display to easily view the numbers. Also, it has equipped with Bluetooth to transfer information to any smartphone.

Once you’ve finished measuring, use the smartphone app ‘Joyplan’ to make a 2D plan of the measurement. Above all, this extremely small device is made out of aluminum alloy and ABS material. It features two silicone buttons on the top to switch between measuring modes.

The iRULER M130 features a 380mAh rechargeable lithium battery which can be charged via a universal Type C cable. On the front side, there is an optical focusing lens that gives an accurate laser measurement anywhere. They designed the device to withstand any impact and meet the IP54 waterproof standard, which is ideal for construction sites.

The IRULER team said each and every unit of the device must pass the drop test before it leaves the factory. Currently, the iRULER is raising funds on Kickstarter. They have already raised more than $44,000 as of the time I write this post, far exceeding their goal. You can get this laser distance measuring device for an early bird pledge of US$ 45 on Kickstarter.
