NiTO wooden bricks offer a modular way to build walls without using nails or glue. The system works with solid wooden blocks that simply click and stack together. This system lets builders assemble walls quickly using a straightforward, puzzle-like construction method.
Solid Wood Without Additives
NiTO bricks are made from pure solid wood. The material contains no additives or adhesives, which means the blocks remain fully recyclable. Using natural wood also helps maintain a clean material structure throughout the building system.
Tongue-and-Groove Interlocking System
However, each block includes a 5-centimeter tongue-and-groove connection. This design allows the bricks to interlock in multiple directions, creating a stable wall structure as the blocks stack on top of each other.

Block Sizes and Wall Dimensions
Also, NiTO offers two block sizes to support different building needs. The standard solid block measures 40 ร 40 ร 15 centimeters, while the half block measures 20 ร 40 ร 15 centimeters. These sizes allow builders to adjust layouts and complete wall sections more easily. When assembled, the finished walls typically have a total thickness between 32 and 38 centimeters.
Thermal Performance
Moreover, the wall system provides insulation values suitable for residential construction. Depending on the configuration, the walls can achieve U-values from 0.14 to 0.18 W/(mยฒK). The lower value corresponds to passive house-level insulation performance.
Natural Indoor Environment
Wood naturally interacts with indoor air. The material helps regulate humidity levels, absorbs certain pollutants, and contributes to a comfortable indoor atmosphere. Because the structure uses solid wood blocks without chemical additives, the wall system keeps the natural properties of the material.
Suitable for Different Types of Buildings
NiTO wooden bricks can be used for a range of projects. Also, the modular system makes it possible to build houses, garages, garden sheds, and other small structures.
They said, the system has received DIBt approval in Germany for buildings up to two floors plus an attic.
This certification allows builders to use the modular wooden bricks in residential structures within those limits.
