The Airbike by Volonaut is a new kind of personal air mobility vehicle that brings the sci-fi dream of flying motorcycles closer to reality. Designed for a single rider, this fully electric hoverbike can take off vertically and hover with ease, requiring no wings, no runway, and no spinning propellers. Itโs a major innovation for those who have ever imagined flying freely and independently.
Jet Propulsion and Advanced Materials
Unlike traditional drones or helicopters, the Airbike relies on compact jet propulsion, possibly ducted fans or turbines to generate real lift. This design not only allows it to fly through tight spaces safely but also offers a quieter, safer flying experience. Thanks to its advanced carbon fiber construction, 3D printing techniques, and minimalistic design approach, the Airbike is seven times lighter than a typical motorcycle.
Futuristic Design with Real-World Testing
Still in the prototype stage, the Airbike has already shown real flight potential in test footage. The design clearly draws inspiration from science-fiction vehicles, with a sleek, angular frame and a unique riding position that offers an unobstructed 360-degree view. Itโs designed to hit speeds of up to 200 km/h, or 124 mph, giving it serious capabilities for short-distance solo travel.

Built for Urban and Confined Spaces
Because it doesnโt use large spinning propellers, the Airbike is ideal for navigating confined or urban environments where traditional aircraft canโt operate safely. Its vertical takeoff and landing capabilities open the door to more flexible personal transportation, especially in areas without traditional airstrips or road infrastructure.
The Vision Behind the Project
The Airbike is the work of Polish inventor and entrepreneur Tomasz Patan, known for his forward-thinking approach to mobility technology. With the Airbike, Patan aims to push the boundaries of what personal flight can be light, efficient, and accessible.

I’ll take that test ride!
I can imagine flying this home from the bike shop. It would be great to have a self flying capability, so it can fly itself home.

I can imagine flying this home from the bike shop. Will it have a self flying capability?
how far des it go? can i test ride one?
Interested to buy
Interested to take to service oriented activities
How noisy is it?
It has to come with a parachute, just in case. If it does, Iโd love to buy it!
How can someone like get one
This can’t be flown anywhere near a house or streets or where other people are. Look at that downdraft, that thing is rolling logs across the ground from 20 feet in the air. It will be knocking pedestrians over, stripping shingles off roofs, blowing trash and debris everywhere. That will never work anywhere but out in the country, maybe ranch/farm or military applications. Regular people will never be able to use this
What the maximum flight time?
