Mosquito control usually means sprays, coils, or swatters. Photon Matrix takes a very different route. This portable laser mosquito air defense system detects mosquitoes with LiDAR, tracks their movement in real time, and eliminates them mid-air using a pulse cold laser. No chemicals, no swatting, just automated, physical control.
How It Detects and Tracks Targets
Photon Matrix uses advanced LiDAR scanning combined with a high-speed galvanometer. The system performs up to 50,000 scans per second and can lock onto a target in just 0.003 seconds. It continuously calculates the objectโs distance, size, and angle before firing.
The scanning angle is adjustable, reduced from a maximum of 90 degrees to 45 degrees for more focused coverage.
What It Can and Cannot Hit
This system identifies and strikes flying insects with size characteristics between 2 mm and 20 mm and flight speeds of up to 1 m/s. That makes it effective against mosquitoes and similar slow-flying insects.
It does not work effectively on faster insects like houseflies. If the device detects an object larger than 2 cm, it automatically stops laser firing as a safety measure. The device can eliminate up to 30 mosquitoes per second under ideal conditions.
Portable and Weather-Resistant Design
The unit measures 18 ร 8 ร 6 cm and weighs about 850 g. It carries an IP68 waterproof rating, making it suitable for outdoor use. You can power it using a power bank or a portable power station, which makes it easy to place in patios, campsites, or near entry points.
Photon Matrix comes in two versions: a Basic Edition and a Pro Version. Both use the same core detection and laser-zapping concept.
