France-based company Cixi has introduced the VIGOZ, an active vehicle designed to combine sustainable mobility with physical activity. This two-seater vehicle combines pedaling and electricity, letting drivers exercise while traveling at speeds up to 120 km/h.
A Unique Pedal-to-Drive System
The VIGOZ uses Cixiโs PERS pedaling system, which gives full control over acceleration and deceleration. Unlike traditional bicycles, it features chainless pedaling technology, allowing smooth transmission of pedaling energy to the system without mechanical chains. This setup provides a direct, low-maintenance way to add physical activity to daily travel.
Certified for Public Roads and Highways
Approved for use on all public roads, including highways, the VIGOZ is classified as L5 highway compatible. The vehicle has a height of 165 cm and can tilt up to 25ยฐ, ensuring balance and stability at higher speeds. Safety features include IsoFix compatibility, three-point seatbelts, and a sturdy body design tested successfully at speeds up to 100 km/h in prototype trials.

Performance and Range
The VIGOZ is equipped with a 22 kWh battery that delivers a range of up to 160 km on a full charge. Charging is convenient, as the battery can be fully recharged in about six hours using a standard 220 V household socket. Regenerative braking and pedaling input also help extend the overall range, making the vehicle more efficient in real-world use.

Designed for Comfort and Practical Use
Along with its unique drive system, the VIGOZ is designed for everyday convenience. It features sliding windows, a heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) system. Also, an open extendable trunk that can carry pets or larger items. With space for two people, it integrates comfort with active travel.
Combining Sustainability and Fitness
By merging cycling activity with electric mobility, the VIGOZ promotes both fitness and sustainability. It allows riders to actively contribute to their commute while reducing reliance on fossil fuels. Making it a practical step toward healthier lifestyles and cleaner transportation.
